Χρυσιδης Γεωργιος commented: "The Great Earth Mother, Mother Goddess, or Mother Earth is a matriarchic archetypal model that is repeated in various mythologies around the world. According to Jung's theory the originality of the Great Mother - Goddess is deeply rooted in the human mind even before conception. We usually meet her in three basic forms - as a Virgin, as a Mother, and as an Old Woman - and depending on which form she has symbolizes purity, fertility, wisdom." |

I am thrilled that Andrew Barker is bringing to light the discoveries of Elena Wilshaw. She fascinates me too. I read how Elena figured out that Roman concrete contained fired ceramics from broken pottery however the older concrete did not. Then when there was a earthquake in her village that cut off the water supply she had the men clean out and re-route the ancient water system to restore the flow of water and saved her village. What a remarkable woman.
