We have discovered 118 megalithic and pre-megalithic sites in the Montana Megaliths over the last 14 years. Birdtail Monument Complex is by far the most enigmatic and puzzling. There are very large and very small monuments of various human-like origin as well as three ancient Sphinx- like monuments. Dozens of faces of various shapes and sizes protrude from the cliff walls.
On the morning of September 18, 2025 I followed a gravel road, which soon became a one lane track, into the back country. Miles and miles of ancient stone faces and even a few full body effigies covered the rolling hills and high mountain sides. Some were created out of volcanic stone, others were granite, shale or limestone. Some were humongous and others were small. There were several collages depicting characters from ancient stories. Huge free standing monoliths, sections of buildings and ancient walls covered the rolling hills.
I took hundreds of photos and a few videos from early dawn until dusk. It will take several seasons to document this new site that I named Birdtail Monument Complex.

Ancient stone faces were the first images I recognized. Looking closer through binoculars, I realized I was seeing a Star Map. My mind began spinning with correlations when I saw the black cube on the underside of a recessed area.

Star Map Wall is filled with faces and recognizable images which protrude from the background rock. These faces look out over another grass covered valley. Star Map Cartographer is a free standing elongated head next to what appears to be a star map. |

Symmetrical solid black images appear on the satellite deep scans which indicate that these elements did not originate on earth. The satellite scans read the 118 earth element and so therefore the "black hole" does not register. This Omega image in the Hawara Labyrinth under Egypt was taken by the same satellite scan team that utilized this advanced technology to scan the Montana Megaliths. The Great Reveal |

Birdtail Family Gathering features a sitting female statue, with an elongated head, holding an infant with her right arm. She appears to be sitting on the lap of an man and gazing out over the valley.

Double Sphinx
Even thought we took several photos of the Double Sphinx at different times of the day, it was difficult to capture a clear image. At the base is a sphinx that faces left. Both paws are extended forward, there is a face hidden in shadow. This smaller Sphinx has a sway back and a raised rump. Above is a much larger Sphinx facing right. Large Sphinx has a lion face with an open mouth and a small right eye. The defining features are much easier to see in 3-D.

Another beautiful day exploring Birdtail Complex. This is the seventh year that Anthony Castro has found new sites and artifacts in the Montana Megaliths. Tony has lived in megalithic sites all over the world for the majority of his adult life and brings vast expertise and experience here to Montana.
